Background:
Kui Gao is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. Before joining Northwestern University, he worked as a research engineer at Thomson Broadband R/&D (Beijing) Co., Ltd. in Beijing, China for three years.

Research Interests:
Dr. Gao's research interests are in the area of high-performance computing, parallel file systems for large-scale scientific applications, and multimedia networking, and real-time scheduling.
