Job Description

 

Opportunity for post-doctoral research positions focused on the development of following areas.

·    Data mining algorithm design and SQL database management for large-scale problems in scientific domains and social network

·    Machine learning methods and their ensembles for feature extraction from large amount of scientific simulation data

·    Parallel and high-performance computing (e.g. using MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, OpenCL, etc.)


Our research group has active ongoing collaborations with several investigators at other universities and DOE laboratories.

 

The successful applicant must have a sophisticated understanding of data mining, machine learning, and high-performance computing. Prior experience in MPI, GPU programming is a major advantage. Should be able to work independently and manage daily research projects, taking the leading role in the design of experiments, analysis of data, writing of manuscripts and papers, and presentation of work at institutional and conference meetings.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field awarded at the time of application.
